ORGANIC WHITE PEONY (2011 GTA GOLD 1 STAR)
Water 80-85 degrees C. 4 minutes. Harvested April 2014, Fujian Province. White Peony is created by carefully selecting only the finest tender top bud and two leaves. These leaves are then left to dry in the sun creating a very natural tea. This results in a uniquely fragrant, refreshing tea, that has a wonderfully sweet, full flavour with hints of melon and citrus fruits. Extremely low in caffeine this tea can be drunk at any time of the day. White teas are also considered to contain higher amounts of antioxidants than any other, making them a great choice for your regular tea.
ORGANIC MISTY GREEN
Water 75 degrees C. 3 minutes. Harvested May 2014, Zhejiang Province. The leaves are a medium length and gently twisted and have a wonderfully fresh aroma. The liquor is beautiful pale green with a fresh clean taste with a soft sweet aftertaste. A good green tea suitable for multiple infusions.
JASMINE DRAGON PEARLS (MOLI LONG ZHU)
Water 75 degrees C. 3 minutes. Scented July 2014. Hand picked tips are gently rolled into small pearl like balls that are scented with fresh Jasmine blossom to create this beautiful tea. When infused they unfurl to release a wonderfully sweet and delicate floral flavour. One of the finest examples of Jasmine tea available.
HOU SHAN HUANG YA (YELLOW BUDS)
Water 75 degrees C. 3 minutes. Harvested April 2014. A delicate leaf that comprises of a single leaf and bud. Hou Shan Yellow Buds make a beautifully soft, mellow cup with notes of peach and a gentle nuttiness this is a refreshing cup at any time of the day.
Water 90 degrees C. 3 minutes. This years base leaf is a Tie Kuan Yin, tightly rolled and then covered in Ginseng to give a dark Jade green coating. The cup is aromatic and sweet, the flavour is superb and the Ginseng delivers a wonderful energy. The leaves will produce several cups, each with it's own slightly differing aroma and taste.
BIG RED ROBE (DA HONG POA)
Water 90 degrees C. 3 minutes. Harvested May 2013. Originating from wild tea plants that are found growing on the cliffs of Wuyi Mountain, this is an opulent Oolong. Also known as Da Hong Poa, Big Red Robe is one of China's most famous Oolongs. The dry leaf is sturdy and gently curled with colours ranging from light to dark brown. The infusion is a deep russet red colour with a delightful floral aroma. The cup is full-bodied, extremely smooth with hints of summer fruits Multiple infusions of this tea will offer a uniquely multi-dimensional flavour along with great length.
Water 95 degrees C, First infusion 2 min, 2nd 2.5 min, 3rd 3 min. This is an organic Pu Erh tea from Yunnan province in China and aged for 6 years. The leaves have been fermented over a long period of time to create this unique tea. Characteristically earthy with a slight hint of plum. When drunk with food it will aid digestion of the fatty, lipid cells.
ORGANIC ENGLISH BREAKFAST
Water 95 degrees C. 3 - 4 minutes. A mix of Assam, Ceylon and Sumatran teas make this a marvellously dark infusion with a malty spiciness. Best served with a dash of milk.
ASSAM MANGALAM FTGFOP (SPECIAL)
Water 95 degrees C. 3 – 4 minutes. A beautifully formed leaf, full of golden tips that produce a spectacular dark red cup. This is a first class Assam and one that will delight the palate with its rich spiciness, exceptional maltiness and underlying floral notes.
ORGANIC DARJEELING MAKAIBARI FTGFOP
Water 95 degrees C. 3 – 4 minutes. An organically grown second flush Darjeeling that is rolled by hand and sun dried to produce a delightful tea. The leaves produce an amber liquor which has a full bodied, soft and aromatic cup. The Makaibari Estate is renowned for not only its excellent quality teas but also for its excellent treatment of its employees.
EARL GREY BLUE FLOWER
Water 95 degrees C. 3 – 4 minutes. This is a blend of Chinese & Ceylon Black Tea scented with Oil of Bergamot to give a wonderfully smooth citrus flavour. The addition of Blue Corn flowers gives this tea its stunning appearance. The aroma of bergamot is fantastic and the cup is a deep amber colour with a beautifully smooth flavour.
KEEMUN MAO FENG
Water 95 degrees C. 3 – 4 minutes. Harvested May 2014, Anhui Province. A rich, silky Keemun Mao Feng. The beautifully twisted leaves produce a sweet, malty aroma with a delicate earthy notes. The cup is nicely rounded with a good depth of flavour.
DECAFFEINATED CEYLON BOP
Water 95 degrees C. 3 – 4 minutes. An irregular black broken tea, mild and aromatic in taste, with dark cup and a mild, slightly sweet flavour.
INFUSIONS & FRUIT TEA
Water 95 degrees C. 4-5 minutes. A traditional English Breakfast blend of Assam and Ceylon give this tea a superb base on which to blend the spices.We use a traditional blend of Aniseed, Cardamom seeds, Ginger pieces, Black Peppercorns, Cinnamon pieces, Fennel, Cloves, Chicory roots. There is no artificial flavouring, just spices, making this a beautifully soft yet aromatic tea.
Water 95 degrees C. 4-5 minutes. A great tea throughout the winter season. Its characteristic is its spiciness: sweet cinnamon bits, spicy coriander, cardamom, cloves and hot fruity pepper are masterfully rounded off by generous portion of sweet apple pieces. The scent of juicy oranges and delicate cream complete this unique taste experience. Ingredients: black tea, apple pieces, cinnamon bits, coriander, flavouring, cardamom pods, orange slices, pink pepper, cloves.
ORGANIC ROOIBOS (CAFFEINE FREE)
Water 95 degrees C. 4 minutes. Rooibos or Red Bush is a South African herb, aspalathus linearis. It is naturally caffeine free and rich in Vitamin C. With a not dissimilar taste to tea, Rooibos has become increasingly respected as a healthy addition to any diet and has become very popular in the UK, particularly with Mum's to be!
Water 95 degrees C. 3- 4 minutes. A superb peppermint leaf that will certainly refresh the pallet as well as helping to sooth the digestive track. The leaves produce a wonderful aroma and a liquor that is bright and amazingly minty.
Water 95 degrees C. 4+ minutes. Chamomile flowers produce a wonderful sweet floral cup that makes the perfect drink to relax and sooth your mind. There is no comparison between teabags and these whole flowers, you will feel relaxed as soon as the aroma fills your senses. A member of the aster family, chamomile has daisy-like flowers and is one of the most popular plants in western herbalism.
